Be a CYHA Coach

So You Want To Be A Coach?

Being a youth hockey coach is a significant commitment, but it can also be an extremely rewarding experience.

Most of our coaches have prior playing experience, including professional, college, or high school. Regardless of playing experience, all of our coaches have experience coaching youth sports.

Concord Youth Hockey follows USA Hockey requirements for all coaches, assistants, and team volunteers.

All coaches must complete a significant amount of training before they are allowed to be on the ice with our players.

Key Items For All Coaches (Head Coach And Assitants):

  • Must register online with USA Hockey
  • Must complete a background check
  • Must complete SafeSport training
  • Must have the appropriate USA Hockey CEP Level
  • Must complete the appropriate USA Hockey Age-Specific Module

In addition to the requirements above, all CYHA coaches are evaluated by an internal coaching committee before being assigned to a team.
